YES has a partnership with the Sioux Falls School District Head Start Program to provide school readiness programming for preschool age children. Following the High/Scope curriculum teachers and children are active partners in the child-driven learning activities in five main areas: Language, literacy and communication, social and emotional development, physical development, and health and wellbeing. Families are considered
eligible according to Head Start guidelines.

The After School Enrichment program is more than an extension of the typical school day. Our child-initiated learning experience is fun and engaging for your child. We provide your child a nutritious snack and gym or outdoor time for some fun energetic play. We offer age appropriate choices which allow your child to have so much fun they won’t even know they are learning. They are offered assistance with their homework completion which allows for more family time at home.

Kindergarten Plus is a school-year program designed for the children attending half-day kindergarten in the Brandon School District. The program includes educational activities that enhance and reinforce the school day curriculum. The program also includes hands-on stations: literacy, math, science, creative art, dramatic play, story time, and large motor gym activities. Breakfast and lunch is provided through the school lunch program, with the purchase of a meal ticket. The hours of the program are 7:30 am -12:00 pm or 11:00 am -3:00 pm and are available for full time families only. The Kindergarten Plus Program is offered at Brandon Elementary School. The Brandon School District provides transportation with school busses to and from the program. Children that attend Kindergarten Plus or half-day afternoon are eligible for our Afterschool Enrichment program.
