    South Dakota Codefied Laews (SDCL) pertaining to Child Care Regulations 26-6 prohibit child care by a person convicted of child abuse, sex offense, or other felony, wo whose name appears on registry—Violation as misdemeanor.

I understand that this application in no way obligates YES to hire me. I agree and understand that if I am offered and accept a position at YES, my criminal record will be checked through the South Dakota Central Registry and through the Division of Criminal Investigation for the State of South Dakota, and my employment is contingent on a favorable response from these agencies.   • It is late in the day and you are busy signing out children who are ready to go home. The school custodian comes to tell you that two children have thrown toilet paper all over the bathroom. Meanwhile, an upset parent is waiting to talk to you with a complaint and, at the same time, you notice a crying child who may be hurt. How would you go about handling these multiple priorities?
  • A child is behaving violently—throwing stones or fighting—and does not pay any attention when you tell him/her to stop. How would you manage this situation?
